Ayurvedic Treatment
The Sanskrit word Ayurveda translates to “knowledge of life” and the standards of this historic wisdom remind us that the entire life is intricately interwoven. With a unique emphasis on overall well-being, the art and science of Ayurveda work to harmonize our inner and external worlds.
Our 5 senses serve as the portals between the internal and outside realms, as the 5 extremely good factors of fire, water, earth, air and atmosphere are the basis of all cosmic creation. Ayurveda combines these five elements into three simple types of energy and functional elements which can be found in absolutely everyone and in their entirety. for the reason that there are no single words in English to clearly describe these, the Sanskrit words Vata, Pitta, and Kapha are used to mention their combinations.
Vata, which is made up of Space and Air, is the subtle energy connected with movement. It controls breathing, blinking, muscle and tissue movement, heart pulse, and all cytoplasmic and cell membrane movements.
Pitta is the body’s metabolic system, which is composed of Fire and Water. Digestion, absorption, assimilation, nutrition, metabolism, and body temperature are all controlled by it.
Kapha is the energy that creates the structure of the body — bones, muscles, and tendons — as well as the “glue” that ties the cells together, and it is made up of Earth and Water.
It is important to note that Ayurveda is not a replacement for Western allopathic medicine. In many cases, medications or surgery are the best way to treat the illness process and acute problems. Ayurveda can be used in conjunction with Western medicine to strengthen a person’s immune system and make them less susceptible to disease, as well as to help the body heal after being treated with medications or surgery.
Ayurveda treats the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. It recognises that every one of us is unique, that we all respond to life in different ways, and that we all have distinct talents and weaknesses.
